1989 Massecre at Tiananmen Square

Tiananmen Square, a public square in country of China. Located in the city of Beijing. Some people think the square is the biggest public square in China. Tiananmen Square is mainly known for the massacre that occurred with a group of young adults. A group of protestors went against the Chinese government. The event took place in the year 1989. Chinese government went to the square and shot unarmed civilians. The Chinese government wanted to stop the protesting. They chose to do this by shooting people in random bursts.
The action that took place in 1989 was tragic. Innocent people killed by Chinese police officers. They were not old people or unemployed men. They were young students who wanted a better democracy for China. Kids that died for a cause that was not intended to cause harm or violence. The kids did not deserve to die that day. About a million Chinese students died. No one expected the event to take place. There were some people that got away, and there was some that became injured from bullets.
The troops stormed in and fired randomly. They shot, reloaded, and shot again. The shots were not structured. They aimed at the crowd and just pulled it. They kept shooting for more then a few minutes. Even when the people looked like they were leaving the premises, the police officers would keep shooting. They got tired of the protest. They should of sprayed water on the citizens, but they wanted blood or maybe they wanted to make strong conviction. The government did not have to shoot people. The people only wanted a fair democracy.
The square has always been an important area for travel. Cars and people would use the square each day to travel across Beijing, China. The square is in the center of Beijing. Japanese troops once occupied the area back in World War II. The Japanese troops manage to kill 20 million Chinese citizens while stationed at the square. The Japanese did not kill the people in 1989. That event was caused by China. However, it is safe to assume that the Tiananmen Square is bad luck. People always seem to get massacred there. People who visit the area should not spend more then a few minutes on its steps.

Jingshan Garden

Jingshan Park, a park located near Xicheng District of Beijing, China. The park was once a royal resting area and training ground. The garden became a park. The park is about 23 hectares in length. The previous garden had a perfect view to the Forbidden City in ancient times. The Forbidden City contained a palace for the Ming Dynasty emperors. The park was a educational ground for royal children. Children would learn education about religion, opera, and agriculture. Groomed to learn how the world runs. Education was given from the Chinese perspective.
The park was once a beautiful paradise filled with interesting things. There were rare animals placed in the area. Trees planted and some of the trees bore fruit. Emperors, children, and women from royal families would spend their days talking in the garden. It was a peaceful place. Not a place where emperors would battle each other for power. There was never war at Jingshan Garden. It was always a place for spiritual guidance and peace. Sometimes, participants would practice worship to Chinese gods.
What can you see when visiting Jingshan Garden today? The garden has been turned into a commercial park. People travel there from time to time. You will see historical events that happened many years ago. Emperor Chongzhen's suicide Spot is available to be seen.
In 1644, there was a peasant rebellion connected to Emperor Chongzhen's suicide. The rebellion defeated Emperor Chongzhen and the emperor decided to run to the park. Feeling defeat, he felt his only way out of shame was to commit suicide. He could not accept defeat and he could not accept the concept that he failed his kingdom. He hung himself. The body stood there for about 480 years. One day, someone cut his body down and turned the place into a park.

The name has been commonly changed to Tibets. People refer to them as Tibets or Tibetans now. They are not a tribe now and are located in China. The young women would dance on the bridge at nightfall. Men interested in meeting a woman would talk to one of them. The event happened around the year. Many women were taken and many women lost their pureness. The bridge is 300 meters long. You can walk on the bridge at any time, but some say the best time is at night. Stone Forest

Stone Forest, a forest that has a bunch of stones. The stones do not look like normal stones and are placed in positions similar to trees. Locals call them stone trees. The forest is located in Shilin, China. There are many stones in the forest and are spreaded out with paths. Each stone strangely looks like a tree. Carved to resemble a tree by something or someone. The structure could have been created by an ancient civilization but there is no evidence. Some stones are not short. Some can be tall as 20 feet or higher. Locals near by consider the stones to be mini mountains and stone trees.
The name first appeared in a poem. The poem was titled Ask Heaven. The poet was from 300 B.C. A poet named Qu Yuan questioned the existence of the stone forest in the poem. He must of saw the forest himself, or heard a tale of the stone forest from a traveler.
In the 17th century, adventurers from Ming Dynasty and Ling Dynasty traveled to the Stone Forest to seek beauty. Some scholars also wanted to visit the forest. There was something interesting about a forest that had stone trees. After a couple of months, more poems were written about the forest. Some would write songs about the forest. No one knew where the forest came from, but the forest was like a vacation spot to people who went there. It was a beautiful place and people felt some sort of spirit there.
Paul Vial, French Missionary, went to China to visit the Stone Forest. He was the first person from the west that visited the Stone Forest. This event occurred between the 19th or 20th century. He lived in the Shilin area for 20 years while he visited. His additional goal was to spread the word of God. He wrote a journal that recorded the details of the forest. The journal was written in French language. Many years later in 1960, a Hungarian scholar named Balazs decided to study the forest. He would be the second person from the west to see the stone forest.

Jiuzhaigou Forest

Jiuzhaigou, a forest that looks like a fantasy world. A world that should only exist in someones mind. Trees are colored pink and some of the grass is colored purple. Trees and bushes are given many colors from the rainbow spectrum. Lakes and waterfalls of Jiuzhaigou look very magical and glow with a strange light. The bottom of these lakes, have a light green sand color that can be seen from the surface. Sand is normally a brown color. Everything in the forest is filled with fantasy colors. The normal colors you expect from a forest is not found at Jiuzhaigou forest
The forest holds nine Tibet villages. The Tibets believe in Buddhism. A religion that believes in mediation for the mind and training the body. The religion does not require people to get married. It wants people to reach a higher level of consciousness. Tibets believe that the mind is weak and needs disciplined to be kept in control. Tibets also believe in being happy no matter the situation. There are some temples located on high altitudes. One could have a good vantage point for waterfalls or forest attractions if they stood on the steps of one.
The name origin comes from a legend involving a woman. A female god dropped something in a forest. She dropped a mirror and the mirror broke into 108 pieces. The pieces turned into lakes that had a strange color. The colors were not typical for a lake. To make the legend stranger, each lake has a separate mythical story behind it.
The population of Jiuzhaigou is very small. There are about 1,000 people living in the Tibet temples. Early signs of humanity date back to 11th-16th century B.C. The Tibet villages were cut off from the rest of China. One day, a group of log cutters found them in the 1970s. The loggers manage to find them by accident. Ever since that one event, people from China and abroad came to visit the temples. They wanted to see the temples and what else was there. The temples in Jiuzhaigou and the forest became famous after that.

Reading Comprehension

Reading Comprehension, the ability to read and understand what is read. Reading is taught in school and every student must know how to read in order to function in society. Without the skills to read, a person will wonder the world hoping people will not lie to them. That will lead someone down a road that was not intended or failure. Reading is very essential for survival. There are many skills one can learn if they know how to read. Now, a person needs to understand what they are reading to perform better in life and follow written directions better. Failure to understand what is written can lead to a failure to understand how something works. Humans need to read a lot to understand the world around them. Knowledge is written down into books so the new generation can read passed down knowledge of different concepts. Then make it better and pass it to the next generation.
Being able to understand the meaning behind a text will help a child professionally. A child or person will have to fill out job applications once in their life. They might have to attend a business meeting as well. Reading function is essential for the child to survive in the real world. Job applications ask a lot of questions and the person needs to understand what they mean. It is not enough to read the text. You must understand so you know how to respond to the text. This will allow you to do better on the job application and find a job faster.
Having good reading comprehension is good for school environments. A person who can understand what they read will be able to pass the tests. Passing the tests will allow the person to pass the class. This will allow the person to obtain a skill needed for a future job.
Understanding what you read is connected to the world around you. It will give you a sense of direction too. You will know if you are going the right way if you understand the message in the manual. The world has many manuals and many books that teach you things. But, if you are unable to look deeper into the text and understand what is being said, then you will not be able to understand the knowledge or see something you need. You need to read, but you also need to know what the words and phrases mean. You must connect the points in the text to understand the rules, point, procedure, skill, decision, or concept. These are things you will need to understand for the life ahead of you.

Identify Independent Clauses

Identify Independent Clauses, a sentence that stands on its own. The sentence has a subject, verb, and a complete thought. A complete thought is a sentence that does not leave you hanging when you read it. If you were to read one sentence and the sentence made sense, then it is a complete thought. If you were to read a sentence and the sentence was missing something, it is not a complete thought. A verb is a word that expresses action or a word that is used in sentences. Now isis a verb so be careful about the words you call a verb. The word amis also a verb. Verbs generally mean action, but sometimes they are words that fill in the gaps and make the sentence make more sense. A subject is the person, group, or thing the sentence is about. The thing that is being talked about in the sentence. The person or thing that is connected to the main point of the sentence.
An example of an independent clause would beI was late to work.NowIis the subject. The sentence talks about "I" who is the main person connected the main point of the sentence. The verb in the sentence iswasbecause it fills in the gap. "Late" refers to a time period. That can not be the verb. "Work" refers to a place where I go to. That can not be the verb. The word "to" is a preposition. A word used to move things in the sentence. It is not a action word or fill in the gap word.

Positive vs. Negative Connotation

Positive vs. Negative Connotation, positive usage of words vs negative usage of words. Positive connotation is used in a way that is positive. Negative connotation is used in a way that is negative. In other words, positive connotation when someone uses words to provoke a positive outcome. Negative connotation is when someone uses words to provoke a negative outcome. These connotations are used in real life and in texts. They are both used in texts such as scripts, books, essays, articles, and so forth. Connotations are connected to feelings. Feelings are connected to what someone sense when they interact with something. What someone feels when interacting with someone. They can feel by touch, listening, or talking.
Positive Connotation, is when words are used to prove a positive output. Positive connotation is used in scripts to provoke a brighter side to a difficult situation. There are times when a character is down on luck. The author will use a word, sentence, or phrase to change the characters attitude. Connotations try to change the feeling of a character or person. Sometimes we feel we are stuck in a negative light or situation. We sometimes need a positive light to come back to the happiness. Using positive use of words can make that possible.
